CHETOI #402

We got an email asking, 'I’m looking for the meaning of “chetoi”, from a name “chetoikechang or chetoilechang”'.

If it is a name, it might not have a meaning as many/most names are just random sounds without phonetic meanings.

Anyone know of a word CHETOI?

I think it's Toikechang. The first time I heard of it was in a song by Sheldon, or his brother or cousin titled "Yasumba."

There's a line: "SeToikechang el me mochang, lomelemii el mo ra Beriber..." and then shortly after it mentions something about "uchul Ongiil, me sel kereker el mo bedul Ngiwal." This all make me think perhaps it's a place in Melkeok...?

In any case, I don't know CHETOI as a word, never heard of it...

In that song I hear "Se Imekang el Me mochang, el lomelemii el mo er a Beriber..." but, it's common for singers to change lyrics depending on crowd, place, occasion, etc
