This could be a case of Gaelco post processing the audio through something like of a DAC or FPGA to raise the frequency as...
- This PC based system uses a custom motherboard that doesn't have the normal sound connectors and instead has a male edge connector for a custom I/O board
- Said custom I/O board is where speaker connections are located instead.
In all the gaelco pc based games, the audio is slower than it should be, for example in tokyo cop, the audio is slower compared to what its supposed to sound like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CA_9hgyBiXg
