Prado .chm help file not available anymore #207

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The CHM version of Prado Manual (prado3_manual.chm) is not
generated/available anymore. It's not present neither in the source
distribution, nor in the documentation zip file.

There's a directory in the trunk under "buildscripts/chmbuilder" which
appears to be the builder for the CHM help file which, however, isn't
included in the source distribution .zip file, and also doesn't seem to
work properly anyway.

Affected version is Prado/3.1.6, but I'm pretty sure other releases in
this year didn't include the help file either. The last version of the
manual I could locate on the web was for Prado/3.1.2, dated April 21st,
2008.

added 3.1.6 CHM file to google downloads. It wasn't build when 3.1.6 was
released.
This should not occur for future builds

Thanks, but the file doesn't seem to work properly. I can open it, and the
Contents
and Index tabs look fine, but no document pages are displayed, neither at
startup,
nor when clicked in the index or contents. I merely get a "Navigation to the
webpage
was canceled" error document page. The old version (prado3_manual.chm for
3.1.2,
built on 21th April, 2008) works fine on the same configuration. I'm running
Windows
7 English 64-bit, but the problem is also there in the 32-bit virtual XP
installation on the same system - so I guess the file is indeed defect in some
way.

This is strange.
My chm file works well, but the uploaded one don't...
I'll try re-upload file as a zip. maybe the chm was corrupt.
I'll also attach here

This one seems to work OK. Also the Search tab finally works, which wasn't the
case
with the previous .chm, as even though the tab was there, no topics were ever
found,
no matter which expressions you tried to search for.

Thanks.
