Checkbox [ ] Disable instant-reaction popup menu in chat settings. Disabled by default. May be in "debug settings"

Describe alternatives you've considered

Downgrade to previous client version :-(

a new toggle has appeared in settings > chat settings to enable/disable the original UI for reactions input (aka "corner reaction) https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/commit/1363faddbf4171e4ee2476f0039d1caf69f23fd4 Add "Reaction button in messages" setting.

so a similar toggle for the new reactions would fit in nicely ... image

either that or make the new toggle choose between the two reactions UIs , instead of having both at the same time

to clarify, this issue is about the new reactions UI, in case "instant" refers to the original (faster) UI x)

This is not the solution I was hoping for.

My problem is not with access to quick reactions to messages, but with animated (and non-disableable) reaction icons that "jump" as soon as the window appears (and inevitably distract attention).

Excess information on the screen distracts and infuriates. I've already come to terms with non-disableable animated stickers that ALWAYS play the first iteration of the animation.

In addition, in some cases I encounter interface glitches and friezes of the main telegram window (mainly on Linux).
