There are a lot of virus files and archives in chats and channels. Now Telegram is a source of potential infection.

telegram already is not a lightweight program, is it? if they add such a feature (lets say, for uploaded files) it'll get larger and slower. and you can still be infected with malicious links

you can always check downloaded files yourself, can't you

p.s. there are chats with people who enjoy writing malware for fun, not for using it

so, it won't be implemented, i suppose
