Closed njmoose closed 6 years ago

njmoose commented 7 years ago
### Steps to reproduce 1. install and set up ibus with anthy or mozc. 2. attempt to type Japanese in Telegram Desktop 3. watch as text continues in Latin characters. ### Expected behaviour ibus input should take romaji and convert it to kana/kanji. ### Actual behaviour input continues to type in latin text. ### Configuration **Operating system:** Linux Mint 18.1, Cinnamon Desktop. **Version of Telegram Desktop:** 1.1.2 **Used theme**: Mint 18, Cinnamon
**Logs**: Insert logs here (if necessary)

Update: I was able to get Anthy to input into Telegram Desktop's app under Zorin OS 12.1

Specs: OS: Linux 4.4.0-47-generic x86_64 Distro: Zorin "Xenial" 12 (12.1) Telegram Desktop 1.1

Conclusion: Bug may be related to Mint 18 distro.

What's the env in Zorin OS? Pretty sure it has something related to ibus in it.

njmoose commented 7 years ago

Zorin runs on a Gnome3 environment.
