Ability to use Windows 10 emoji on Windows 10 #7244

I would like to be able to select the native Windows 10 emoji set in chat settings, like I can for Mac, Android, and Twitter emoji.

I like consistency, and the rest of my system uses Windows 10 emoji.

Maybe a bit more related would be asking for system emojis, but I'd would bump this thread for a system default emoji option since there is no option like this in the emoji sets.

Still an issue as of 2.4.7. Cannot select system emoji.

Still an issue on 3.2.1; cannot select system emoji. Would love to use Windows 11 fluent emojis like on the rest of my system.

The style of emojis depends on the font being used (check Segoe UI Emoji and you might even gain some coloured ones). The problem is, there are like a thousand and one quirks with them. I kinda agree there should be more discussion about fallbacks though.
