Blinking profile photo animation of some users #8033

Open Remu-rin opened 4 years ago

Remu-rin commented 4 years ago

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open group, mouse over "x members" to see dropdown with some members
  2. Or open group info and look at the member list at the bottom
  3. Repeat

Expected behaviour

Profiles photos from cache should appear instantly.

Actual behaviour

Profile photos from some users (about half for me) appear with delay. First it's empty color circle with first letter (as if profile photo is not set), after a second profile photo appears. For profile photos of those users it happens every time. Even if I repeatedly open dropdown/group info. For me even my profile photo is affected, so I can reproduce when opening hamburger menu. But if I disable animations in settings, it's fixed. No delay for any cached profile photo.

Configuration

Operating system: Windows

Version of Telegram Desktop: 2.1.10

Used theme: Night

Hey there!

This issue will be automatically closed in 7 days if there would be no activity. We therefore assume that the user has lost interest or resolved the problem on their own.

Don't worry though; if this is an error, let us know with a comment and we'll be happy to reopen the issue.

Thanks!

Not resolved. Btw https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/commit/99704e973b66e8f5cccf5341efca18d6f665a2f0 is not referenced there, but seems to fix this for own profile photo at least.
