Getting Telly to work with Channels AppleTV app #212

Based on this post it seems like Telly doesn't work with the Channels app because the Channels app expects (UDP discovery API on port 65001, a TCP control API on port 65001, an HTTP API on port 80, and another HTTP api on port 5004 for streaming video).

Could this be added as an enhancement later or can Telly currently work with Channels with the right configuration?

I second this suggestion, if we can get either TellyTV to support Channels DVR or vice versa that would be great. I think the simplicity of both solutions potentially makes them a great pairing.

I have been playing with Telly and the aTV Channels app. Its been a few days now no issues have been observed so far.

Steps are as follow:

Make sure FFMPEG is enabled in telly's config (FFMpeg = true) otherwise Channels won't be able to stream for some reason;
Add your Telly instance as a tuner source, specifying Telly's base address:port number (eg: 192.168.0.3:6077).

Note that custom EPG is not possible in Channels - AFAIK.

@nebukazar911 true with custom EPG, I spent lately 2 hours trying to make it work and no epg outside selected countries going to work.
