Problem installing MacFUSE Core 10.4 - 1.1.0

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. downloand MacFUSE Core 10.4 - 1.1.0 on a MacBook Pro with Tiger Mac OS X
10.4.10
2. Mount it and run MacFUSE Core.pkg
3. Proceed with all steps of the installer until, type admin password to
conclude installation

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

expected: install MacFUSE

experienced: 
"There were errors installing the software

please try installing again." - see attached screenshot

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

MacFUSE Core 10.4 - 1.1.0

System Version: Mac OS X 10.4.10 (8R4061a)
Kernel Version: Darwin 8.10.3
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier:   MacBookPro3,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed:    2.4 GHz
Memory: 2 GB

This isn't enough information. Look at the installer log to see if there are 
any further details. You can also try to 
install from the command line to see if you get any verbose messages:

sudo installer -pkg "MacFUSE Core.pkg" -target /

Apparentely it is a problem with the dmg image.

When I double-click it on my desktop a 'MacFUSE Core 10.4-1.1.0' directory is 
created
under /Volumes but the Finder does not show it (on Desktop nor on windows). If I
double click it again a 'MacFUSE Core 10.4-1.1.0 1' directory is created (note 
the
extra ' 1' at the end) and this one does show up.

No matter what I do, I cannot unmount the first one, it just hangs there. If I 
run
umount MacFUSE\ Core\ 10.4-1.1.0 the directory is emptied except for an empty 
file
named .autodiskmounted

Deleting both this file and the directory has no effect, i.e., only after the 
second
double click on .dmg from Desktop will the device show up in the Finder.

I finally managed to install it by doing the following:
1- double click once so that 'MacFUSE Core 10.4-1.1.0' will show up under 
/Volumes
2- it is easier to copy the commands than to explain, so:
3- cd /Volumes/MacFUSE\ Core\ 10.4-1.1.0
4- cp -r MacFUSE\ Core.pkg ~/Desktop/
5- double click on MacFUSE Core.pkg on the Desktop

HOORAY! it works...

but still... I there there is something to be looked into... if there is 
anything I
can do to help. Just say it here, I'm listening...

Nope, nothing I can think worth looking into. The dmg seems to work fine for 
me, and for many others. Looks 
like your first dmg mount somehow got "stuck".
