Downgrade firmware using Raspbery Pi and SOIC clip? #80

I only have a single SD card at the moment and downgrading does not seem to work - the downgrade file is changed to tf_recovery.img.bak and there are new folders like MIJIA_RECORD_VIDEO. However the camera is still set up in Mi Home (I didnt have to re-add network connections) and the firmware is still 3.4.6 0048.

However I have a Pi 3B+ and an SOIC clip, can I manually flash a firmware onto it? and if so, can I flash the downgrade itself or do I need to patch the firmware as I am writing to the whole EEPROM?

I managed to take an SD card from another device and use it without having to format/lose any existing data - firmware was downgraded successfully. Sorry to cause any inconvenience here. If there is a way to flash using external SPI programmer then anyone can comment on this issue.
