new: Image Slider component

Problem Statement

As a user i like to see multiple product images easily and visually. As a designer/dev i dont want to have to reinvent the wheel every time i want to show 3+ images.

Requirements:

Displays more than one piece of content in the same place (one at a time)
Must offer a thumbnail preview of all content within the gallery, and indicate which image is currently selected
Must provide navigation for moving between images (w/ clear interaction)
No more than 6 images in the gallery
Transition between images should not happen automatically, user needs to be able to move between images manually.

Usage:

When looking to provide TELUS product images for a user to explore without disrupting the main objectives of the page
Make sure to put images in order of priority or relevance

Recommendation

A component that product pages and marketing pages can use to show multiple images.

additional criteria may include:

loading product sku based on colour/capacity/physical size options
swipe gallery on touch devices
thumbnails, chevrons, or dot navigation
header, body, cta

@jackreeves Please consolidate any further information regarding the request for a Carousel Component there.

I'm reopening this issue for further discussion. @DougTelus brought up that this may actually NOT be a duplicate request for a Carousel component (despite the name, and duplicate links).

I've added an image of the "gallery" candidate component, removed a confusing link, and updated the title of this issue.

@DougTelus and @jackreeves are you able to clarify further what the ask is for this issue?

This is ready to be worked on, accessibility has been made aware and provided the opportunity to contribute. Any accessibility requirements may trickle in prior to being picked up for design.
