Could you please let us know if there are any databases that contain images similar to our samples? Additionally, are there specific keywords we could use to find more relevant images? Ideally, we are looking for labeled data, but can also label unlabeled data if necessary.
@sandyie Unfortunately for the specific image types we are taking I do not have any good additional photos or sources of where to get them. You could check this forum though I am not super hopeful.
What I have found out is that everyone keeps their final images -- those are the types @FrederikBaumgarten shared before and I have shared, but no one keeps the images before they are stitched. The ones I recently shared were taken for us and the best I have for pre-stitched images.
@sandyie You should be in touch with @chloecurry and @afong3 as I think they are also working on stitching ... either way, I will be sharing a drive folder for uploading images. I plan to DELETE it eventually so do not use it for long-term storage.

Hi Lizzie,
I’ve been working with the tree ring identification and analysis software, as we discussed last time. However, I’ve noticed that the sample images provided are not very similar to the tree cookies we have in the lab. Therefore I can't make a clear conclusion of how well these tools work on cookies that we want them to analyze.
After discussing with Adam and Chloe, we believe we need more image data to better train and test the identification tools. Specifically, we’re looking for images that closely resemble the tree cookies we will be analyzing.
Could you please let us know if there are any databases that contain images similar to our samples? Additionally, are there specific keywords we could use to find more relevant images? Ideally, we are looking for labeled data, but can also label unlabeled data if necessary.
Thank you for your help! Sandy
