Today's 2024 Grey Cup live π’ππ«πžπšπ¦π¬ serves up the Canadian Football League's answer to the Super Bowl, with the Toronto Argonauts taking on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at BC Place in Vancouver. Sensationally, Argos quarterback Nick Arbuckle will make his second start of the campaign and only his 26th in eight seasons as a CFL player.

Arbuckle's promotion to starter is a stunning development, which was forced by Chad Kelly going down in the Eastern Final. While you'd struggle to find anybody who'd begrudge the affable 31-year-old his moment, there's no question that the balance has been tipped firmly in the Bombers' favor.

The Argos actually won both of the teams' encounters during the regular season, but they were each tight, low-scoring affairs, and with Arbuckle set to lean heavily on the ground game today, the Argos will likely find points hard to come by.

The Bombers offense caught fire in the Eastern Final, putting 38 on the board, but they scored the second-fewest points of anyone in the regular season. How, then, did they make it all the way to the Grey Cup? With a suffocating defense, led by standouts Tyrell Ford and Evan Holm.

Canadian football fans, the time has come! The 111th Grey Cup takes place Sunday between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Toronto Argonauts.

The 10-8 Toronto Argonauts, who defeated the Montreal Alouettes in the conference finals, will be representing the Eastern Conference in a heavyweight tilt against the Western Conference’s 11-7 Winnipeg Blue Bombers, who defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

After a 2-4 start, the Blue Bombers finished atop the West Division and earned their spot in the championship game by beating the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the West final.

The Argos weathered quarterback woes to finish second in the East before upsetting the league-leading Montreal Alouettes in the division final.

That win proved costly, though, as quarterback Chad Kelly broke his ankle. That leaves Toronto relying on backup Nick Arbuckle on Sunday.

This will mark the second time in three years that Toronto and Winnipeg will have met in the Grey Cup.

The Argonauts toppled the reigning champion Montreal Alouettes 30-28 in the East Division Final last Saturday, but they lost QB Chad Kelly to a broken leg in the process. That leaves seven-year CFL vet Nick Arbuckle as the starter against Winnipeg.

The Blue Bombers roughed up the Saskatchewan Roughriders 38-22 in the West Final last Saturday. QB Zach Collaros threw for 301 passing yards and four touchdowns, and running back Brady Oliveira racked up 119 yards and a TD. Wideout Kenny Lawler went off with six receptions, 177 yards and three TDs.

Winnipeg has more Grey Cup appearances than any other team (30), followed by Toronto with 24, but the Argos have a CFL-record 18 Grey Cup titles. This could very well be Winnipeg's year to return to glory, though, considering its superb momentum as well as Toronto's terrible twist of fate with the Kelly injury.

The Grey Cup Festival is described as Canada’s largest annual sporting event and it will return this year for the first time since 2014, welcoming more than 500,000 fans from across the country. The event will feature two ziplines, immersive football experiences, legendary parties, cultural displays and thrilling performances from a diverse lineup of entertainers.

This year, the Toronto Argonauts will take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, which is a rematch of the 2022 Grey Cup that was won by the Argonauts. The Blue Bombers are playing in their fifth-straight Grey Cup, but they are currently on a two-game losing streak in the game after winning in both 2019 and 2021.

This will be Winnipeg's 29th Grey Cup appearance, the most all time. Toronto's 18 Grey Cup wins are the most in league history. The two teams are each in the top three for most Grey Cup wins, as they have a combined 30 wins in the game.

The 111th Grey Cup will be played in Vancouver, and the Jonas Brothers are slated to perform at the game's halftime show. Here is what you need to know about viewing options for the Grey Cup in America.Thnks...
