How 'up-to-date' is TensorFlow in adding State-of-the-Art (Object Detection) models to its Object Detection API repository? #8571

Hi all!

I am curious to learn if TensorFlow is up-to-date in adding or updating State-of-the-Art object detection models to this project repository. I have worked on a couple of projects using TensorFlow Object Detection API in the recent past using SSD and Faster R-CNN.

I believe most of the members of the TensorFlow community is already aware of paperswithcode. I stumbled across a page which includes the State-of-the-Art Object Detection methods. -- Is there a way in which these models can be added to TensorFlow Object Detection API?

I'd be glad to contribute to this project if it doesn't exist already.
