This bout was supposed to take place at UFC 295 in November 2023, but was cancelled after Jones suffered a pectoral injury. Jones' previous fight was a Heavyweight clincher against Ciryl Gane in March 2023. He applied a dominating guillotine choke to score the first round submission.
Miocic’s last fight was back in March 2021 at UFC 260 in a rematch against Francis Ngannou where he lost the Heavyweight Championship after a second-round TKO. Miocic, an Independence, Ohio native, looked overmatched and his MMA career was thrust into uncertainty.
The co-main event pits former UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira (34-10-0, 1 NC) against Michael Chandler (23-8-0), who is making his return to the Octagon after two years.
