Node Ingress and Egress Transformations #130

Provide the ability to automatically transform events with a configurable pipeline when they enter or leave a node. This has two primary use cases:

  1. Compliance
  2. Tagging

We need to discuss just how this works: Is it only for import and export? Does it also work for publish and subscribe? Or do these take place whenever a pipeline leaves the boundaries of a single node?

- [ ] Agree on the desired semantics, and expand this list accordingly.

We talked to a prospect today who liked the compliance aspect of this feature.

Closing this for now as it's become less relevant over time and nobody has asked for this in over a year.
