Thank you for raising this issue. However, we would like to refer you to the CS2103T website on this matter.
As shown in the image above, flaws "can be considered NotInScope if rectifying it is less important (based on the value/effort considerations) than the work that has been done already". As you mentioned, users can still delete and add new tasks if they make a typo, meaning that there is still a way for them to edit their tasks. While this would be a good feature for us to consider adding in the future, we believe that rectifying this is much less important compared to the current value and effort put into the task management features. Based on value considerations, the current features are intended to enable users to edit tasks with just 2 commands (delete and add task). Based on effort considerations, we have already implemented 20 new command features which we found to be more crucial to the use of the application than an edit task command.

If I made a mistake in the task name or description or due date, I am forced to delete the entire task and add it in again, thus an edit command would be more helpful.
