No idea how the button currently performs and what it does, so some investigation is needed.
How it is supposed to work (maybe):
On collaboration mode you can see what everyone else is writing and running in the notebook
On personal mode you can't see what everyone else is writing and running in the notebook (not the same as being the only one able to access the notebook)
Also requested:
On personal mode you could change the notebook view mode but it will be changed only for you.
Tho this feature would be available only for owners and writers.
