How to trade between textual matching and geolocation proximity when matching people?

I root for no. Better to match people by what they are talking about. Also we may match friends of friends and matching friends of friends may have a side effect of physical proximity anyway? I'm not 100% sure. (Someone may have moved to another city and all their friends may be left behind in the old city.)
