Woah. This is super cool. I like this idea a lot. Thanks for taking the time to make this mock-up to help visualize it. I think this allows for more individuality in displaying stickers - even if you have the same ones as your friends, your laptops can look different - and is also a good visual metaphor of modular program composition, where larger, interesting programs are made up of many smaller components.
@terinjokes what are your thoughts on this, and in particular in terms of scope and version time frame? Does it make sense to work on a vNext major version to include some of these other sticker form factors?
Also interested in hearing from @maxogden and @jlord
:+1: This is really interesting! :D
the mini triangles look like a lot of fun
Nodeschool workshop triangle mini-badges?
@alanshaw Great minds think alike.
for LNUG we are running off some LNUG contributer triangles to compliment the main hex and running off some git workshopper triangles. :-)
Here are some other tiling patterns, for inspiration: http://gruze.org/tilings/gallery
@jden - nice, has gone into the feedback loop :-)
I like this idea, and it's making me reconsider the current direction of the specification. Going to think it over, and figure out what I want to do.
How bout @maxogden?
@jden you still happy with this? i'm happier now to adding triangles.
1" triangles may be hard to get printed, but I ~love~ the way it looks in the mockup in the first post
Probably hard as a die-cut, but probably easy to do as a sheet.
I'll try to come up with some language to handle half sized triangles and squares
I finally got round to printing a batch of stickers.
We have a new LNUG sticker design which I expect we'll iterate on and a contributor triangle.
Feedback welcome :-) Also I'd would love some ideas for more triangles? Maybe a speaker one.
Was there any decision on wording for this?
None yet, but I think I'm happy to include triangles. I'll try to write something up.
When I read https://github.com/terinjokes/StickerConstructorSpec/pull/11 I just had to think of the awesome possibilities that half-diagonal sized mini-stickers would allow:
What do you think?
