No one said you need newer Termux version. This was told about Termux:API which is a different application.

But I have version 0.50.1 of Termux:API installed. It does not work. Or is there a newer version available somewhere else?

This is only compatible with Termux from same source (GitHub Actions).

7 months ago Ok. I found that. But where do I find the matching termux-app package? I tried to, but Github says the termux-app repo would be empty...

7 months ago Hi and thanks very much! I have downloaded both packages. I am not sure if I made the things right: I installed the termux-app package, than the termux-api package. I started Termux and the termux- call-log command was not found. Termux suggested to install it by pkg install termux-api. This worked. I am not sure if the download ot the termux-api package as ZIP was needed or if the pgk install command downloaded the needed package again. BUt at the end: it works now. termux-call-log now gives the expected output. Thanks very much!

unfortunately tetmux-call-log gives no output while the listing of sms works.
I know this bug is known. https://github.com/termux/termux-api/issues/434
But the issue was closed saying you should use a newer termux version - I cannot find one. So I asked for it and nobody reacted. So I am sorry, but see no other way than opening this new bug report. If the problem is solved, it would just be nice to know how to get to the fixed version. If not, perhaps there could someone look into the issue instead of just closing the bug report.
By the way; I have done some research and I didn't find a solution searching here or just in the web...
