You need to instsll the termux-api app as well.
You still need kernel drivers for the device, and root. Termux-usb is not a way around those requirements

Thanks.. Yes, termux-api first thing I installed.
Ok, thanks. Was just trying to see if the USB device showed up. But without root/Kernel/ driver , I guess that will never happen.. :-(

From your description it sounds like you installed the termux-api package, not the app: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.termux.api/, both app and package are needed
Problem description
On Android 12 - Note 20 (non rooted)- USB WIFI devices not detect. I have Termux running Nethunter container , however can not get a usb (rtl chipset) to detect when plugging in directly to phone.. Considering all the videos' , assumed this would work without needing kernel replacement on phone..
I did find this, but just sits there and never returns results; https://wiki.termux.com/wiki/Termux-usb termux-usb -l
Steps to reproduce the behavior.
on Android 64 termux-app install termux-api
many do not work, except screen brightness..
What is the expected behavior?
