Added to wiki . BTW, what is the maximum bandwidth of your mirror?
2 MB/s.
2 MB/s.
We do not recommend building mirrors with such a small bandwidth, and I did not see speeds exceeding 2mb/s during testing. CC @Grimler91
2 MB/s per connection is okay.
However if there 2 MB/s shared across all connections to the mirror, that's not gonna work well even behind CloudFlare CDN. I have an experience with hosting Termux mirror (*.termux-mirror.ml
) with such low bandwidth.
Consider 100 mbps (~10 MB/s) as bare minimum for host behind CDN and 300-500 mbps without CDN.
The higher bandwidth, the less chances that mirror will go into denial-of-service condition during download spikes.
See bandwidth usage dynamics for primary host which has direct endpoint (packages.termux.dev
) and behind CloudFlare (packages-cf.termux.dev
) which is set as default apt source.
2 MB/s is shared across all connections to the mirror. You can withdraw my mirror from the list, no worries.
Hi, please kindly consider my mirror.
