I am coming back to add that I downloaded my map and made a server instead of using a realm, and am still having the same exact issue. Given that the error code changes when changing the render distance, I set it all the way down to 2 chunks, and still the same issue.
Coming back again to add that I completely deleted all files related to minecraft, reinstalled everything fresh and added just this mod and the required mods to run it and still the same issue.
Here is the disconnect log

Bug Description
Any time I try to add any of these blocks into my hot bar, it will disconnect me from my realm with the Internal exception error. When I set my render distance to 32 chunks I get the java.net.SocketException: Connection reset error. When I set my render distance to 12 chunks I get the io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: failed to decode packet 'serverbound/minecraft:set_creative_mode_slot' error.
How to Reproduce?
No response
Expected Behavior
I expect the item to go into my hot bar such as any other normal block from the creative menu.
