Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

This is a Great Tool and something i was always looking for, it would be great if it could save the Taskbar and Backgrounds =) i have 3 monitor setup, and switching between surround and non-surround is always a pain, since it does not save background and taskbar so i have to set backgrounds and taskbar again and again... My Main Screen is the Middle Screen, the Taskbar with the Clock is moved to my right monitor, so i can access the drop-up menu while gaming easily =) and i have 3 different backgrounds for each monitor, but it always sets the pic of the main screen for the other monitors aswell...

Describe the solution you'd like Save Taskbar location and Multiple Backgrounds =)

Describe alternatives you've considered

Additional context its a pain !! =)

Hi,

DisplayMagician already allowed you to apply a background of your choosing to a display profile. If you go to the settings button within the display profile window you will see what I mean.

Talat locations are much harder. Generally windows costs the taskbar positions based on which window is the primary display. Microsoft doesn't provide the ability to track which taskbar item is where on the screen, so there is no easy way for meet to grab that information, and no way for me to really apply this even if I could get the information.

I've tried doing some experiments manually figuring this out myself, and using some core windows messages to manipulate the screens but despite extensive testing I've never managed to get it to work.

The upshot is that I doubt I'll ever be able to add specifying taskbar locations until Microsoft add the ability to do that through an API. Changing background is something that DM can do now.

Thanks Terry

Hi,

this is why i love github and its developers :D this direct contact is great =) I already thought that the Taskbar will be an Problem :D and with the Profile Setting for Background, i already saw it, but im not able to say that Mon A has a Different background then Mon B and C , i would need something to save Pic A for Mon A , Pic B for Mon B and Pic C for Mon C, at the Moment its like turning NVIDIA Surround on and off without ur tool, ending up with Pic A for Mon A,B and C. :) or did i missed something ???

Hi Zarrsito,

As far as I understand it we can only programmatically change the display on all screens at once at present. I'm not sure if I am able to change it on all screens uniquely. I'd have to do some more research in order to implement this.

Unfortunately I have other more pressing problems with the underlying screen changing that will take many more months work to figure out. This is likely to be something that I will park until I get some of the higher priority bugfixing work is done.

Thanks Terry
