I have the bundle that included the LTE dongle. I got a chip from ATT, but I couldn't get it to work initially. I finally pulled the USB modem out of enclosure and connected it to my Mac. I then logged into the modem web interface at 192.168.8.1 and went to Settings -> Dial-Up-> Profile Management. For some reason it comes from you setup for T-Mobile. I set Mode to Manual and created a new profile called ATT Broadband and APN Broadband. This then worked perfectly. Maybe you can add some documentation.
