I've found a workaround:
I've installed an app called macrodoid on the rpi4 and followed these steps:
Open MacroDroid, click on the button "Add Macro", then select the trigger "Device Boot".
In the next screen, select the action "Enable hotspot", then save the macro.
Reboot device running tesla android.
You will see hotspot will be activated automatically after a reboot.
I have the same issue. Updated my CM4 bundle to the latest version from within the UI, and now the Wifi hotspot doesn't come up. Connected to HDMI monitor, and all I see is a pulsing android logo.
Since upgrading to the latest version of tesla android today 2024.18.2 my rpi4 boots with the wifi hotspot turned off. Ican't therefore connect my tesla to its wifi. I can only 'see' the interface by brining it indoors and connecting the rpi4 to an hdmi display
