Ability to use LAN IP to access Tesla Android when connected to a mobile router via Ethernet #323

I think a good portion of the user base on the Rpi4 platform is using the mobile router configuration where the TeslaAndroid is connected via ethernet from a mobile router and the mobile router is wirelessly connected to a mobile phone's hotspot.

With this type of configuration, I think it might be a bit simpler for user to launch TeslaAndroid via the LAN IP from the mobile router. This way the hotspot function from the TeslaAndroid may be turned off as well.

I think this used to work in the 2023.20.1.1 (or older release) but in the most recent releases, this no longer works.

I'm wondering if we can bring this function back or if there is a technical reason why this configuration is no longer supported?

I think maybe there should be TeslaAndroid forks for when portions of the user base have a special need like this

It wouldn’t work – Tesla Android needs SSL and this won’t fly with the LAN IP unless you spoof DNS on the client

Is this a new Tesla thing that was implemented recently? Because this function worked on at least TeslaAndroid versions 2023.20.1 and also a few versions before.

I'm only asking here because I think most people would either buy Tesla's internet service rather than a separate internet service for the car or not at all. In the first and last scenarios, which I think is the most likely user base, they won't need an LTE modem for Tesla Android and would rather tether the connection to a mobile router for ease of use.
