support multimedia keys so that the play/ stop/ fwd/ rew/ vol controls work in 
other media players like Media Player Classic.

Maybe a solution to support more or less all software players would be to have 
Gmote’s multimedia keys (play, pause etc.) emulate classic keyboards 
multimedia buttons. That way you also get full control over which files get 
played by what software players.

Niels, I agree with this completely. It would theoretically solve this problem 
entirely. Currently, I use Spotify and would love to be able to control it with 
gmote.
