GGG just approved Acquisition as a public OAuth client.
It will take a while to implement OAuth, because (a) I have never used OAuth before, and (b) OAuth comes with the new API. Acquisition has been around long enough that it was designed around the legacy api that is no longer even documented. The new API has different endpoints and returns different json objects. It's simpler, too, but it means plenty of rework.
However, before tackling OAuth, my plan is to release v0.9.9 with rate limiting "shortly" and announce it on reddit, so people can start using it again. Hopefully that will be the last release to use POESESSID and the legacy API.
