Hi Stefano,
If I'm interpreting correctly from http://opensource.org/licenses/MIT, the LICENSE file should only have year and copyright holder for MIT license, then in the DESCRIPTION file there should be a field: License: MIT + file LICENSE
I looked up a few other packages with the MIT license, namely "reshape2", "curl", "webchem" and all seems to follow this format - not sure if there's a need to put preamble on each file.
We may have to change the copyright holder to "montilab" or you or have multiple authors, although I not come across other packages listing multiple copyright holders. Thoughts?

Right now, all I see is a two line file with:
Which is incomplete and inaccurate
