I don't speak for osk, but stealing ideas from a different game seems scummy
...isn't the whole game of tetrio stolen from "tetris?"
I think exploring the ability to run multiple players in a single instance of a game opens up a lot of possibilities in terms of new modes, and can be an interesting avenue to explore!
I don't think saying Tetr.io stole from "Tetris" is fair, as it's not alone in that sense. I was thinking along the lines of #86 more than just going straight for Tetris Connected
this would be hell to implement with the current networking code
Now that the back end is reworked, would it be easier to impenitent this mode?
You mean the classic CO-OP that exsist since Tengen Tetris?
(2 players, 1 grid) the grid size is multiplied by the amount of players
I seen this gamemode in Tengen Tetris Tetris Grand Master 2: The Absoulte Master Plus and Tetris Effect (a variation of the same)

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
No. It would be great to have a version of cooperative Tetris; Tetris Connected is coming next summer and I think it would be interesting/good for tetrio to get ahead of that to figure out technical implementation.
Describe the solution you'd like
Multi-player tetris. X players = X * 10 rows across, but a single grid for everyone. You can move across the board and place pieces anywhere with your teammates. Zen mode/marathon mode to start?
Describe alternatives you've considered
Capping # of players to reduce initial complexity, having zones for players to reduce collisions/technical complexity, coop sprint mode instead of marathon mode.
Additional context
The feature request is really just to imitate Tetris Connected.
