The Live Now section of the Tetra Channel should show the TETR.IO account name for any user who has linked their Twitch account.
Well that implies Twitch linking is implemented, although I guess it's clear what the request is anyways.
Another thought here is interfacing with Gravatar it's pretty straight forward and might be more friendly of an interface for an app like this.
When it comes to profile pictures, I'd much prefer the built-in selfhosted solution.
If you're suggesting TETR.IO instead pull the information from linked accounts there...frankly I know a thousand people who've enjoyed natively linking their Discord accounts on TETR.IO—people who might not go to the hassle of making another online account so their TETR.IO profile has a little more text on it. Nowadays people would rather just make Carrds and link those from their Discord bios. The few Gravatar accounts I could dig up were shell accounts made solely because there was no alternative method for managing a profile picture on the site they use.
It definitely seems like an easy API to implement, that I'll agree with. And perhaps I don't have a stake in this conversation because I'm just not willing to sign up to see what options are even available for the end-user.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Yep! There are some people on tetr.io that I meet, and would like to friend or talk to more after the game. But upon clicking their profile, there's no way to encourage further interraction. Just their statistics. This makes it harder to just "send someone a friend request" after the game, like what you can do with other games like CS:GO. For instance, there's currently one player who's avatar I really liked! I want to ask them what it's from, and their tetra channel profile is open in my browser, but there's currently no way at all for me to interract with that person.
Describe the solution you'd like
Now it seems like a friends system for tetr.io isn't what you want for now. That's fine. But, letting us show social media links in our profile would be great. Even just a slot to put your discord in (this makes sense to me since the game supports rich presence already) could be all you really need to bypass the need to create a friends system for tetr.io.
Describe alternatives you've considered
You can do this with supporter, by making a profile description which lists your socials. I'm not a fan of this approach though, since while yes having to pay money to make your profile cool is fine, having to pay money just to be able to do the equivilent of friending someone seems a bit silly.
Additional context
Here's an example of what it might look like. Sorry, the font's not correct!
The mini profile becomes a bit cluttered - I'm not sure where this could go on that, but I see no reason to not include this on the tetra channel profile. Becuase currently, the tetra league profiles are a bit of a dead end. Adding socials (and other features like recent match replays to download) could flesh out the tetra league profile more, making it less of a dead end.
Good socials to include: Twitch (Since Twitch intergration seems to be a big focus elsewhere in tetr.io) Discord (No need to create a friends system if Discord intergration is good enough) Steam YouTube Twitter (?)
