This could be an added security layer. But this is custom, and it requires manual updating which would not be convenient for this guide. Of course the VPN has a form of '2FA' (within quotes!) because it requires a certificate (something you have, albeit digital) and a password (something you know).

Considering the complexity, I will not add it to this guide. When it will become an off-the-shelf feature, than it is a different ball-game of course.
