This is amazing any possibility you could cover how to set this up with off the shelf purchased cameras for those poor souls like myself that dont have a Tesla but want to use this? Recommend some good cameras for this?

While I've yet to actually get this project running, I would think that the number one thing you should be looking for with an off-the-shelf camera is one that has the option to store video on an external USB drive. Most dash cams that I've seen expect to use an internal SD card, but that wouldn't work for something like this. The linchpin of this project is that the SBC pretends to be a USB device so that the camera writes video to it and it can then process the video in real time.
