Description of problem:

It is unreasonable to require the player to mochball out of ice beam without ice beam and varia. Hell runs and pixel-perfect TAS tricks (with no instructional videos on crocomi.re) do not make a reasonable combination, even at hard difficulty.

A friend and i enjoy going through some tough seeds, and we gave this one a crack. We got up to the point where you got stuck, and found a way through! The thing you need to do from the point you got stuck involves the speed booster. Run left from the ship, and start a shinespark right before going through the door, and jump over that lil' hill before launching yourself left, and you can get to Green Brinstar. From there, you can get Spore Spawn's Hookshot, which lets you get to the treasures of east death mountain.

I’m not sure how you escaped spore spawn though without bombs?

The short charge (which is easier from the area directly to the right of the blocks) is not an issue.

But look at the logic... unless I’m somehow reading this wrong, this still requires a varia-suitless ice-beamless escape from the ice beam location with something like 3 energy tanks? The issue here is that, that is entirely unreasonable.

I’m not saying the seed is impossible to complete. Just that there doesn’t seem to be a way around an unreasonable trick that could be made reasonable with the addition of either varia suit or ice beam as a requirement.

You're probably right that doing this suitless and without (ice/pb/bombs) is asking a bit much. The solution would be to either require ice to freeze the platforms, or pb/bombs to break the ceiling blocks in the room with the gates to escape that way. I'll try to get this in for the next minor update.
