Discussion: armor and multiple location armor ratings #2

How detailed should we be with armor? According to the core rule book, some armor pieces only cover, say, the head, (like a helmet), but a battledress would cover everything.

If we had armor cover individual locations, we should also do random (or specified!) hit locations, so we could determine what rating to use.

Now to think of it, there are also a couple different damage TYPES, like kinetic damage (bullets), versus energy damage (lasers). Think there are more, but they escape me for the moment.

Decided in favor of single slot armor. Armor will provide protection for kinetics and energy as if they were the same type of damages.

Special armors will provide extra protection to some energy weapons, such as reflec, ablat, combat armor, ceramic inserts, etc.
