It would be nice to fill out the form. The main question is probably what desktop you are using and what exactly you are pasting ?

I am talking about this form:

grafik

anyway, what and how are you pasting ?

jcg724 commented 2 years ago

Yes, sorry I open two *.tex files on Texstudio and I am copying (using my mouse to highlight the text) from one of the files and then bring the new file and paste the text on it, The issue is mainly with the copying it is not smooth sometimes delete the text in another only copy a few lines of the text. The most danger is the deleted of the lines, so I have to make sure that I don't save the file Thanks

screen cast means that you make a video of the bug. In general copy/pasting works fine, so it is odd that it does not on your machine.

sunderme commented 2 years ago

I checked on a VM, no issue.

sunderme commented 2 years ago

not reproducible

jcg724 commented 2 years ago

Hi, I install google screencastify (I think) and screen recorder but I couldn't make it work. Then I try to do copy and paste as I used to do within Texstudio and things are working as it is supposed to do. Plus I downloaded your latest Texstudio. Now things are okay and I am happy or whatever is the right thing to say. I'll get back to you if the weird behavior comes back
