I'd make similar title/nav entry changes for this page like the ones in https://github.com/textmagic/textmagic-rest-ruby/issues/67. That is, I'd change the nav bar entry from "Receive SMS to Email" to just "SMS to Email Replies" or "Text to Email Replies" and I'd change the page title from "Receive SMS Replies to Email" to "Receive SMS Responses via Email".
"When someone replies to an SMS you’ve sent via email to the SMS service, the reply will be sent to the originating email address. This means that you can simply reply to all incoming emails from the TextMagic service and the recipient will receive the reply as an SMS." -->
"When someone replies to a text message which you’ve sent via email, the text response will be sent to your email address. This means that you can can send and respond to messages entirely from an email client but your recipient will receive and respond to SMS text messages. TextMagic provides a seamless communication channel across email/SMS boundaries."
OK, the content in this page is very confusing. Or rather, the functionality and the documentation are confusing together. Let me elaborate:
When you want to enable the email to SMS feature, you go to this page: https://my.textmagic.com/online/emailtosms/emails. There you'll find the Send and Receive Settings tab. However, you cannot actually configure receive settings on this page, you can only change how your emails are converted to text messages.
Also, note that this feature is enabled via the Services -> Email to SMS section of your TextMagic account.
To enable the receive settings, as this doc page states, you need to go to the Account -> Email notifications section of your TestMagic account. This is confusing, I would expect the two complementary features to be in the same section of the UI.
Furthermore, it's confusing that it's just called Email to SMS when you send emails which are converted to text messages but when your contacts send text messages that are converted to emails, they are called alerts. An alert is a warning. Is this a warning or just one half of a two way communication channel? Why not stick with the them in the title of the page?
I realize that the above changes are significant, let me know what you want do to here. The following updates are for the remaining text on the page, which you may or may not want to change completely depending on what you think of my points above.
"How to set up incoming SMS alerts" --> "How to set up incoming SMS notifications".
"To set up an incoming messages notification:" --> "To set up an incoming text message notification:"
"To turn on the receiving SMS to Email service, enable the New incoming SMS option." --> "Enable the New incoming SMS option."
"If you want the last ten messages from your conversation included in the email reply, turn on the Recent Chat History feature." -->
"If you want to include the last ten messages from your conversation included in the email response, enable the "Include recent chat history" option."
"Normally, the reply is sent to the email address that started the conversation. For example, if you sent an email from charles@example.com to 447971001234@textmagic.com and the recipient replied to that address, that reply will be sent to charles@example.com by default. However, you can also nominate up to three additional email addresses to receive a copy of that email. Add them into the Forward incoming SMS to email 1, 2 or 3 fields." -->
