@Bloke - for what it's worth I consider directory to be more universal and OS-agnostic than folder, and I've been using directory in Textpattern-related stuffs for as long as I can recall.

I'll close this and raise a new PR with combined changes.

I prefer directory too. Not sure who popularised the term folder. Gates or Jobs probably.

There's a sensible distinction made here, though it probably comes down to how the thing is referenced, rather than which specific OS is used. So in this case when referring to command paths, directory is arguably more correct.
