Not syncing CalDAV events #9

I am having a problem with syncing existing events. When I add a CalDAV calendar from an URL, it recognizes the color of the calendar but no events get displayed. Adding new events is also broken for me (Uncaught Unknown name at position 3 jquery-ui.min.js:10:23076), but when I import an .ics file it displays events properly and syncs them with the server.

I am using mailcow, SOGo CalDAV and Roundcube 1.4.9.

If you need PHP logs, please let me know. I am not well acquainted with PHP, so I can't fully troubleshoot it myself.

hi, I am also trying to get this running with SOGo. did you make any progress here? in my case, I can enter new events in roundcube and they appear on the server, but syncing the events from the server to roundcube does not work.

filiparag commented 2 years ago

@hpkunz I didn't make any progress regarding this extension — I just decided to use native CalDAV clients.

Since the release of RoundCube 1.5-RC many of this author's extensions unfortunately broke. It looks like we will have to patch things ourselves for a while, as he got into a difficult life situation. I'm really fond of his extensions and hope for him to return.

Sorry, it seems like I was still subscribed to this repository so I got notified by this thread.

If it helps anybody: A few months ago I recreated the caldav variant of the calendar plugin by combining the most recent version from kolab/calendar plugin and the original changes from faster-it (which is the same codebase this fork uses). Since kolab/calendar is the official plugin from roundcube, it should work without problems in 1.5.

meanwhile, I managed to get the texxasrulez/calendar working nicely with roundcube 1.5/postgresql and SOGo as caldav server. quite a few tweaks were necessary. if someone is interested I can provide details.

however, I will definitely try out the JodliDev/calendar. thank you very much.

@hpkunz if you provide the details, it would be helpful!

hi @aradhir I tried quite a bunch of things until it finally worked. reconstruction that from my nodes, it should amount to the following things more or less:

Hello Hp, I'm also using SOGo, and I would like to switch to RC 1.5 (currently RC 1.3, and the faster-it caldav calendar plugin works nicely) would you mind sharing your repository with all the tweaks?

actually I had a test machine running nicely with calendars (and address books). when I tried to install that on a production machine, I failed. so in the end, it appears, I have no set of tweaks and configs I did that actually work. I had to abandon this for a while due to other stuff that was more urgent. I will take a look at this maybe in a few week. I can give you more info then.
