The promise of the 'metaverse' is a blurring of the boundaries between our online and offline personalities via VR and AR, and between individual digital platforms - the walled gardens of games and social networks opening up into a single virtual ecosystem. We envision an open and secure Metaverse for which we are confident that Tezos will be a key part of this future.

Can you dream big, and show us how you would make use of it? Do you have a revolutionary augmented reality game in mind that could make good use of a blockchain? Or would you like to plant a seed that one day could be part of a vast digital jungle?

Judging criteria

Potential impact: Envisioned impact of your project Novelty: Innovativeness of the project Technical: Does the code work? Is it secure? Design and UX: How is the look and feel and how intuitive is the design?

Track requirements

Submissions must be open source (MIT license) Submissions must have a working prototype deployed live on the current testnet Submissions must have a writeup on what the product backlog for reaching 'completion' looks like Submissions must list the addresses of their token contracts

Prizes

1st Prize $25,000 in tez (XTZ) at the time of payout

2nd Prize $10,000 in tez (XTZ) at the time of payout

3rd Prize $5,000 in tez (XTZ) at the time of payout
