When interesting things happen on feeder roof, we pretty much only see the crows' feet.
Feeder is so close to the camera than sometimes it doesn't focus well on the animals.
Can't do the following:
Can't aim the camera higher, because we'll get too much of the neighbors and bike trail in the frame if I aim the camera higher.
Can't aim the camera higher, because I've finally settled a positioning where the timestamp watermark is legible all day. All other positions will cause the watermark to wash out at certain times of day.
Can't mount the camera higher on the house siding, because when it points "down" at the feeder too much, the we can't see the critters' faces since they are hidden under the feeder's roof edge overhang.
Possible:
Scoot the feeder slightly farther away. Risk - Raccoons might be able to reach it from the railing. Also, this solves only half the problem of the camera focus. It does not solve the height problem, in fact it will make it worse because of the angles.
Lower the feeder slightly and scoot it slightly farther away. Risk - Raccoons might be able to reach it from the railing even more easily. Also I tried lowering the feeder a bit before, and it had the roof overhang problem when I did that.
Scooted the feeder a bit farther away and its positioning looks good. Still need to lower it slightly, will do that when I get the new metal base in issue #35.
