The executable generated by the build is only 69kb so it's likely missing all of the dependencies.

The release I pushed out should include the assemblies required to run it. let me know if you have any issues.

Where do I find this release? The build server doesn't have the dependencies with the build artifacts and I can only find the extension through google.

Thanks for the link @mikefourie . I wonder why GitHub doesn't provide a way to get to that page from the UI. You could add a link to the latest release in your readme.md to workaround that deficiency.

I also tried running the release but it failed to load one of the dlls that I can plainly see is in the same folder as the exe. cannot load controls

Could you try the updated zip i just added to the release. I tweaked the readme.md too as suggested, thanks.

WRT the github ui, I see the release 'tab' if I go to the home page https://github.com/tfsbuildextensions/BuildManager

It loads now but I cannot connect to my TFS2013 server. Shall I create a new issue for that?

Ah, there is indeed a link to releases on the project statistics bar. I didn't even know I could click on those. Thanks for updating the readme.

No lets stick with this issue.... not sure why that's happening. it happened to me but i put it down to a dodgy hyper-v connection. I will try figure out what is happening...

do you just get something like this?

Team Foundation Server

TF31002: Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server: http://dfsf:8080/tfs.

Nope, I got a different error unfortunately :(. tfs connection failure

I only have VS2015 installed so that might be causing this issue. It's the same reason I couldn't use the extension.

carlin-q-scott commented 8 years ago

Since you guys release an extension for VS2015 can I assume that this issue has been resolved as well?
