First attempt to do collaborative work via github..... I hope tftelkamp's repository is the correct one for the pull request.

I'd love to see this merged, it would complement #11 nicely.

Any chance you could update it to read from configuration files as well as from the command line?

My C++ is pretty poor, I'm fa better at python!

@tftelkamp any chance of getting some of these merged?
