Sensitivity of overlapping notes?

Hey there tg44. sometimes people who make midis use keyboards or other midi instruments that let consecutive notes overlap by milliseconds. When this happens, you get multiple channels for one channel that should just have one melody.

So to summarize, it would be cool if:

• there was a way to detect these tiny overlaps (and be able to adjust the program's time sensitivity of what is would be considered overlap)
• these overlapped notes should have their durations shortened by the overlap time + an extra short amount time

This is a huge work. I selfly think If you use keyboard it is for compose the song and not for record. So in my mind the songwriting steps are:

• thinking
• trying in an instrument
• clicking together in a tool for getting midi

These overlap notes I think must continouse, so no break between them... (The serious synthetizers will make other sound if they have a break...)

I will thinking in its implementation, but it will be time...
