Registration Cannot be completed - SMS not recieved #382

Closed anroopak closed 5 years ago

anroopak commented 9 years ago

Hi,

I have tried to register using the yowsup-cli tool. Though it gives me a success message and shows that message has been sent, I have not received any SMS. I tried this some times, without success.

Please help me out.

Your number format might be wrong. Example: my country code is "234" and my number is 0802**. in the yowsup-cli tool I have to indicate my number as 234802******. All other patterns would fail silently without the SMS being delivered.

anroopak commented 9 years ago

I have set the configuration file correctly. cc=91 and phone=91**\ I tried it with 2 numbers. Both gives me a success msg in the terminal, but I have not received any SMS.

aitoehigie commented 9 years ago

I still believe the problem is the number format. I had the same issue when I tried registering with yowsup-cli. My number is 0802*** and my country code is 234. I wrongly indicated my number as 2340802*** and all I was getting was SMS sent without ever actually receiving the SMS. It was till I changed it to 234802*** before I could finally get registered. So do check again. On Nov 24, 2014 6:07 AM, "Roopak A N" notifications@github.com wrote:

A pain is when yowsup-cli fails silently without the sender ever knowing that an error even occurred On Nov 24, 2014 6:07 AM, "Roopak A N" notifications@github.com wrote:

tgalal commented 9 years ago

if you upgrade yowsup, you get the option of specifying mnc and mcc, it says in the help where to find them. Can you please try it and post result ?

Hi Tarek,

I am just not getting the sms code neither by using the new yowsup way (MNC, MCC) nor using the old backup I have (Config File). SMS/Voice never arrives. Please help.

FYI: Indian mobile number.

Thanks Kuldip

chelorossi commented 9 years ago

Me too, having the same problem. I always worked a few month ago. FYI: Uruguayan mobile number.

Thanks for any solution!, Cheluskis

art4melody commented 9 years ago

I also have the same issue. Using the config providing:

CLI returned:

INFO:yowsup.common.http.warequest:{"status":"sent","length":6,"method":"sms","retry_after":10805}

status: sent
retry_after: 10805
length: 6
method: sms

No SMS sent to my phone.

art4melody commented 9 years ago

Retested and now it works. Maybe it was stuck in the SMS delivery network. Issue with the operator maybe?

Oldertarl commented 9 years ago

Trying to register but no SMS is coming in yowsup-cli registration --requestcode sms --phone 352691xxxxxx --cc 352 --mcc 270 --mnc 77

INFO:yowsup.common.http.warequest:{"status":"sent","length":6,"method":"sms","retry_after":10805}

status: sent retry_after: 10805 length: 6 method: sms

have the last source and code running updates and upgraded all my lib's on the Raspberry Pi Any help would be highly appreciated

diegoandresdiazespinoza commented 9 years ago

diegoandresdiazespinoza commented 9 years ago

@CODeRUS, do you know the request that it is need to do to Whatsapp for asking registration codes? We are hardly trying yowsup and we are facing issues only in El Salvador. We have tried lots of sud america and middle america and that is the only country that is not working (multiple sim). We were trying to snifing communications but SSL stopped us. We need to know if there is another params that could be changed so we can try it and see what happens. We will very very grateful in advance

Hello, tried in Italy:

Before the update both TIM and Vodafone didn't work, so this is an improvement, but that's still not totally solved...
