Full Mass Deletion via Build Mode Generator kills multiple z-levels #39164

I tried to delete a loaded space ruin on the station z-level. Instead it deleted everything across z-levels.

I am certain I clicked correctly, as the pop-ups tell you to. It's happened twice now, in the exact same scenario, so it should be easy to replicate. I loaded a space ruin North West of the station, then deleted it with Full Mass Deletion.

Arianya commented 6 years ago

Tested extensively sans loading a space ruin, and couldn't replicate.

Anecdotal, but based off what I've heard on the grapevine I suspect loading space ruins is to blame, not the Build Mode Generator.

To be fair, it is called "full mass deletion".

AnturK commented 6 years ago

Did you by any chance click on mirage borders.

Stickymayhem commented 6 years ago

@anturk Are you seriously suggesting that after half a decade on the server adminning, thousands of events and over 6000 connections I'd be so stupid, so incompetent as to click on a border while deleting a space ruin? Are you seriously fucking implying that I'm capable of that level of catastrophic failure given the esteemed position and rank of GameMaster I hold today?

Yeah that's probably what happened try that
