Tons of nitrogen in the SM pipes somehow #73042

Open Inari-Whitebear opened 1 year ago

Inari-Whitebear commented 1 year ago

Set up the SM as per normal, notice somehow I get 2000 mols in the chamber, had to turn the vents down to external limits instead of the usual no limits. Check pipes, somehow got tenthousands of mols of nitrogen from those two n2 cans? And it wasn't piped in from the orange fuel pipe/atmos, I checked and that was empty.

Might be related to #71694 but I'm not sure if it was the connected canisters causing it. The canisters seemed to say they're empty at least. And I hadn't touched them at all since wrenching them in.

It seemed to stop increasing past this amount though

Must be caused by server time dilation. I've also had wierd stuff like gas/volume pumps not turning on when dialation is above 70%. Also terms like "probably caused" isn't useful at all for debugging, main reason why the previous issue wasn't solved since circumstances appear to be random.

Inari-Whitebear commented 1 year ago

Sure, I know, but well, no idea what actually caused it, so I figure more reports on it = better as you can correlate more circumstances

LemonInTheDark commented 1 year ago

It's not caused by dilation, atmos is consistent, or should be. This is useful combined with https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/issues/71694, thank you

Sadboysuss commented 5 months ago

doesn't seem to be an issue anymore

I'm not sure I'm comfortable closing this, since I do not know what would have fixed it and this sort of bug can sort sit hidden for years
